This Sunday March 8th - Jesus - Teach Me to Pray
This Sunday, March 8th, is the 3rd message in our new sermon series. It is called, Jesus – Teach Me to Pray.
The subject of this message is very familiar: The Lord’s Prayer. But there is a truth in this prayer that is often missed when we preachers teach it. The Disciples came to Jesus and asked Him to teach them to pray.We think that they are asking Jesus for a model of prayer, a method. But they were not asking Jesus how to pray; they were saying to Jesus, “Teach us to pray like you pray”.
They had seen the Pharisees and others pray, but when they watched Jesus pray, something very different was happening. That is what they wanted to understand.
This Sunday, we sit at Jesus’ feet and ask Him to teach us to pray like He prayed.
Two great worship services, 9:00am or 10:30am.
